About Me

Map of Scotland, highlighting Isle of Islay's Location

Background

I'm from the isle of Islay in Western isles of Scotland. I’m currently based in Inverness, but willing relocate. I currently work part-time as an accounts manager for Horizon Management.

Music

I attended the Junior Conservatoire of Scotland for piano, harp, and singing, achieving grade 8 with Distinction in all 3 instruments. I went on to study a Music MA at the University of Glasgow, intending to become a full-time musician.

Changing Career

After COVID, I began working as a full-time musician. However, I found the schedule isolating and eventually turned to programming. I enjoyed the creativity software engineering offered, leading to a career change.

My Journey in Tech

I recently completed both Harvard’s CS50 and Code First Girls Software Engineering courses, earning a 94% Distinction in the latter. This reflects my commitment to a new career in tech.

I am currently affiliated with IT career switch, with whom I am working through Codecademy's full-stack course.
